Stay Green While Prepping for School This Year!
PostedFor most students, school is beginning either this week or next week. Have you done your part to actively stay green when prepping for the first day of class? Here are some tips to keep in mind while you prepare for the upcoming school year.
Whether buying recyclable items or choosing items that may be reused, you can do your part this school year by purchasing eco-friendly items. Here are some items that you may consider recycling:
– Cardboard boxes that breakfast bars and cereal come in
– Cardboard boxes that “lunchables” come in
– Syllabus / Copy Paper
– Paper bags
– Coloring books
– Pizza Boxes
– Peanut Butter / Jelly Jars- please rinse before recycling
– Vitamin bottles
– Animal Cracker and snack containers
– Many more items.
Aside from these items, many other school necessities are reusable. Here are other items that may help reduce your carbon footprint this year:
– Reusable coffee mugs
– Reusable water bottles
– Lunch boxes and bags
– Reusable storage bags
By using the above items and many other eco-friendly products, you are doing your part in creating a green community and ensuring that you are becoming more self-sustainable. This will also reduce the amount of waste that you are putting in the waste stream.
