PENN WASTE TO HOST NFL LEGEND JOE THEISMANN AT STRAND-CAPITOL
Theismann to energize and motivate at “Challenge of Change” event
York, PA – August 9, 2011 – Penn Waste, a locally-owned residential and commercial waste removal and recycling company, is proud to host Joe Theismann—a 12-year NFL veteran, Super Bowl XVII Champion, NFL Network co-host and motivational speaker—as a featured speaker at the “Challenge of Change,” event on Monday, August 15 at 5:30pm at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center. The event is a complimentary, energizing and motivational evening for Penn Waste’s employees, customers, and vendors.
Joe Theismann is an entrepreneur and the former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins. As a 12-year NFL veteran, Theismann played in 163 consecutive games from 1974 to 1985 and holds the Redskins record for passing yards, completions and attempts. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and led the Redskins to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII. In 1985, Theismann suffered a career-ending injury and was forced to start his professional career over. Most recently, Theismann has spent the last decades working for ESPN on their NFL broadcast. Currently, he is co-host on the NFL Network show “Playbook.”

The “Challenge of Change” event is made possible by Penn Waste. The event will include light refreshments from 5:30pm to 6:30pm followed by a video and presentation by Theismann from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
